Maintenance Team Member

No experience required, but must possess these qualities:

  • Able to wear fall protection equipment and physically able to climb ladders

  • Use of hands for fine manipulation, pushing, pulling, lifting

  • Bending, reaching

  • Lifting/Carrying - up to at least 60 pounds

  • Constant mental alertness, accuracy, and attention to detail required

  • able to work independently and as a team

  • able to make decisions, and follow through on all assignments

  • Must use creativity, independent judgment, and organizational and problem solving skills to determine the best method to accomplish desired results

  • able to plan and organize work

  • Must possess strong mathematical skills, calculate proper dimensions of components, read blue prints, manuals, and communicate with coworkers

  • Must work in a safe manner

  • Must be able to read a tape measure

ADDITIONAL EXPECTATIONS:

  • Arrive on time at designated times and prepared to work or meet with Supervisor

  • Complete tasks by agreed-upon deadlines. When this isn’t possible, clearly communicate a new deadline as soon as possible

  • Complete work and conduct oneself with respect to community culture, as outlined in the Community Living Agreements

  • Communicate honestly and compassionately 

Job Description:

Tasks and duties range from carpentry, painting, roofing, light electrical, light plumbing, digging fence post holes, to fixing and maintaining equipment and tools.

Compensation:

$16 to $25 per hour, depending on experience. Up to 100 hours per month (approximately 25 hours per week). This position includes paid time off.
