Spring Weekend Permaculture Design Course
Our in-person permaculture design courses follow the established international standard of 72 hours of contact time with experienced instructors, including a final group design project that weaves together everything the students have learned over the 12-week course.
This PDC is held in person each Saturday for three months using the Permaculture Institute of North America Core Curriculum. Learn in-person from the Pacific Northwest’s finest systems thinkers at Lost Valley Education Center, an 87-acre living permaculture site.

Spring COMMUNITY EXPERIENCE WEEK
Lost Valley Education Center and Meadowsong Ecovillage is hosting a series of Community Experience Weeks this year. This is an incredible opportunity for people who are curious about living in an intentional community and want to learn more about what skills, values, and attributes are useful when engaging in any sort of community with others. Participants will receive 19 + hours of in-person instruction/guided activities from residents of our community as well as opportunities for connection and reflection on our beautiful 87 acre property.

Fire and Lime Natural Building Workshop
This will be an exploration in rocket stoves and lime plasters

Holistic Sustainability Semester 2025
These transformational courses in Permaculture, Intentional Community, and Ecovillage Design offer students the opportunity to integrate with natural rhythms of the land and experience the beauty, complexities, and intimacy of communal life, while cultivating transformative life skills within our 35 year-old Intentional Community in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains.

Eco-Resilience Leadership Training
These offerings are your opportunity to live and learn, to heal and to grow in community. We have come together in the service and celebration of Life to help you uncover, harness and focus your power to contribute the greatest good to a world that is calling for you to express the fullness and majesty of who you truly are.
These offerings feature:
Ecological leadership and mentoring skills
Indigenous teachers and guides
Ethical wildcrafting
Ancestral fire (history, ecology, friction methods)
Natural building homes and shelters
Tracking, trailing, aidless navigation
Somatic sensory awareness
Deep nature attunement
Permaculture Design
Wellness classes (Yoga, Qi going, Mediation, and Breathwork)
Hide tanning, friction fire, “primitive” skills
Elders council
Field trips to ancient forests, Oregon coast and a Native encampment
Song circles, storytelling, stargazing, drumming, dance, hot saunas, cold plunges, and so much more!
