Here are some of our ongoing projects that can benefit from your support:

Capital Campaign
Lost Valley is presently developing plans to continue our improvements to our classroom complex, including the addition of ADA-compliant restroom facilities. Other capital campaign projects include renovation of the dorms, the lodge kitchen, and the water and sewer systems. All capital work projects will strengthen our ability to be a teaching resource for green technology. Donations help us to meet matching grant requirements and/or cover costs of specific projects.

General Operations
Lost Valley appreciates donations of any amount to help underwrite our ongoing activities. Contributions in this area provide needed funds to pay the bills, to develop new curricula, and to meet matching requirements in grants.

Dianne Brause International Student Scholarship Fund
In late 2008, the Lost Valley board of directors established this fund to honor one of our beloved founders. Dianne has done extensive work on peace and sustainability projects throughout the world. This scholarship fund assists individuals from other countries to attend our renowned permaculture and other classes. The endowment goal is to raise $50,000. Every dollar helps us to spread the knowledge and principles of sustainability and community.  A donation of $1000 will allow us to offer a partial scholarship this year.

Lost Valley Internships
Some of our most essential work is done by interns -- those who come to us for periods of three to twelve months to assist us in our various project areas (kitchen, garden, land, outreach, etc.) while acquiring valuable skills, education and learning about community. Hosting, housing, and feeding interns entails expenses to us (approximately $500 per intern per month).  Please let us know what areas you would most like to support with your sponsorship.

Underwriting Camassia Institute Educational Programs
Since 1990 Lost Valley has taught students from around the world about a permaculture approach to stewarding the land and supporting each other in community. Contributions to the Camassia Institute will help us to keep course prices affordable and to continue expansion of our educational offerings.

Conservation Easements
Lost Valley takes seriously our responsibility to steward the land we own. We are working to establish a conservation easement to assure that this land will be permanently protected from harmful development practices. Your contributions to this project help underwrite the legal and other costs associated with this project.
