Meal and Food Plans

Food Plan Options for 2010

Full Meal Plan:

Access to all the prepared meals and the pantry for $250/month.
If approved by the kitchen manager, a person can receive a $100 dollar credit per month for working either one cook shift or two clean shifts every week.

Pantry Access Plan:

Access to the pantry (w/ limited access to certain higher priced items) for $115/mo.  
No prepared meals are included.  Meals must be prepared in own space or in Guest House.  Prepared meals can be purchased for $2 breakfast, and $3 for lunch or dinner using the punch card system.

Kitchen Work Trade Plan

if approved by kitchen manager the person may opt out of the meal plan but still work either a cook or clean shift in exchange for meals. One clean shift equals two prepared meals.  One cook shift or two clean shifts equals four cooked meals.  (Must be in same week). Meals are tracked using the punch card system.

No Access to Prepared Meals or the Pantry

essentially opting out of the food plan.  You can purchase prepared meals for $3 Breakfast and $5 Lunch/Dinner using the monthly punch card system.  Food will be available for purchase through the Lost Valley Co-Op.

Children are charged $7 x their age per month, up to the age of 15. 16 or older is considered an adult.

There will be a two-week advance notice policy for getting off a regularly scheduled cook/clean shift(s). Also, with a two-week notice, your monthly food bill may be pro-rated for any absence longer than one week. You must submit a time off request form to the kitchen inbox for pro-rated discounts, or for getting off a shift.

Meal plan options must be changed one month in advance, please submit a new Meal Plan Summary Sheet to the kitchen inbox.

Lost Valley Co-Op

The Lost Valley Organic Food Co-Op was established so that we may distribute food and other items to buyers within our community and to our neighbors.
