Facilities – by trainer Jane B.

The LVEC classroom is a wonderful meeting space.  There is lots of natural light and warm wood floors.  It is easy to take breaks outside, complete with walking trails right out the door.  The LVEC staff were very easy to work with to plan logistics and meals.  I am looking forward to holding more classes there in the future.   -Jane B. (trainer for local Ford Institute Leadership Program sessions held at LV)

There couldn’t be a more beautiful place to take my PDC.

Autumn 2011 PDC Course – by Jordana M.

I would highly recommend the 5-week PDC – it is a beautifully balanced combination of personal growth, technical information, hands-on experience, and community integration. Lost Valley is a wonderful place! Thanks very much for a wonderful experience!

Summer 2011 PDC Experience – by Aubrey A.

Aubrey enjoyed the course and Lost Valley enough that she stayed on as a volunteer for over a month afterward. She says: My PDC at Lost Valley allowed me an amazing oppurtunity to gain a practical knowledge of permaculture from the perspective of a handful of knowledgeable and helpful teachers, gain an awesome and eye-opening experience of living in community, and to undergo a really great period of personal growth. Summer 2011 PDC Course – by Angela P.

Doing the Permaculture Design Course at Lost Valley was one of the best decisions I have made in my life. The program itself was truly a knowledge overload in the best way possible. Everything from theory to eco-building to social aspects to wildcrafting was covered and we (as students) were able to pick which subjects we wanted to delve deeper into based on our own particular interests. I especially loved the garden work...

Summer Permaculture and Community Course – I...

The quality of instruction and breadth of material covered exceeded my expectation…Living in an independent community, camping in the meadow, participating in community life and simply being in Oregon amidst so many people interested in sustainability made it an engaging fun, worldview altering experience. - Ingerlise Burns

Summer Permaculture and Community Course – F...

I came to Lost Valley with a knoweldge of traditional gardening and plant science, but permaculture was a term that was new to me. This 8 weeks has been revolutionary for me, showing me how I can impact my students at Carolina Friends School and prepare them to live more closely to the Earth and in community. - Frances Brindle

Summer Permaculture and Community Course – K...

I came to LV with little understanding of what permaculture means. I know now after the two month PDC that I can not only articulate the way I see the world which is revolutionary compared to when I first arrived, but I can see ways where I can apply my new knowledge and experience to truly impact the people and the environment where ever I go. - Kyle O’Brien
